Communication remains to be an important element in pursuing prescribed goals and objectives. It is used as a medium for intensifying and aligning output and actions towards specific tasks and responsibilities. Seeing this, the element of oral communication is also significant in attaining this purpose. By looking into the different models available and synchronizing it with practices that can create wider opportunities for establishing deeper relationships and improving output of individuals and groups.

Types of Oral Communication and Impacts

Looking at the five types of oral communication and delivery methods, it essential to point out its significant pros and cons because it can help determine which one is suitable in a particular situation. Examples of these include discussions, meetings, presentations, telephone conversations and conferences. One significant positive impact of these approaches is it provides the necessary avenues for each party to showcase their ideas and opinions in an appropriate manner. In here, it can help resolve and justify significant areas and determine what problems can be resolved by pointing out specific strategies available (UMC, 2007).

Another one is that it can harness better and effective interaction among members of the workforce. This is because it allows openness and effective interaction strategies that seek to allow professionalism and interpersonal communication to occur (Stefanescu and Popa, 2008). Lastly, these mediums can help solidify the appropriate avenues for generating a consensus for addressing responsibilities in a more effective and efficient manner.

However, oral communications can become problematic because the discussions may become disorganized and ideas shift occasionally. At the same time, the differences in culture and diversity may pose a problem as the perception and interpretation of the speaker can be analyzed in a different manner (Blair, 2008). Due to this, careful consideration must be made to generate effective avenues that can look at these issues and be addressed in an appropriate manner.

Reflecting its significance

Seeing these ideas, I feel that the best approach that fits my job is conducting discussion either with an individual or a group. This is because it can allow sharing of views and opinions in an orderly fashion. Likewise, it will give opportunities to learn and decipher what implications and problems needs immediate attention. Such actions can provide the necessary avenues wherein I can transcend with people’s needs in an orderly and appropriate manner.

Likewise, with the advancement of technology through the years, it has allowed me to develop new avenues wherein I can maximize oral communication and the skills associated with it. Now, I can go beyond boundaries as time and location is not a problem anymore. Furthermore, the development of new schemes such as mobile phones, skype and other messaging systems have greatly contributed to renewed vigor and effectively convey information (Blair, 2008).

Despite these situations, there are still drawbacks that need to be addressed. Ideas such as protocols and language barriers need to be considered. Due to this, there is a renewed commitment and responsibility to actively look into ways that can intensify how oral communication can be facilitated in a more efficient and effective manner.

To conclude, oral communication is one important facet facilitating the recognition and accomplishing relevant goals and objectives. By understanding the different methods as well as its positive impact and implications in practice, it can help necessitate the necessary outcomes for change to occur. Lastly, with the aide of technology, new avenues can be seen as it outlines and portrays new possibilities and horizons leading to effectiveness.
