… on the teachers already strained time. Incorporating diversity into the entire lesson plan is not as daunting a task as one may think. The important thing is to be wise about the materials the teacher chooses to teach with. Using books that present diverse people in positive ways, using pictures that present a wide variety of people interacting, forcing older students to critically examine themselves and their own beliefs and practices with regards to diversity.
