It has been pointed out from the lecture that a significant trend observed in present day societies is the increasing awareness and focus upon the reduction of ecological footprint. This is highly expected as global warming and climate change are commonly discussed issues globally, and these issues are highly associated with ecological footprint. The term “ecological footprint” encompasses carbon footprint as well as food and goods footprint. In essence, anything that is derived from human actions that produces a certain stress towards the environment may be considered as factors that add to the ecological footprint.
