Ella, Marcelo, and Masoko have different sources of motivation. Ella whose behaviour can be accounted for by biological theory of motivation has the motivation coming from the biological drives that are said to be driving an individual towards a particular thing therefore developing certain behaviour. This is different from the Marcello and Masoko’s motivation in that his motivation is drawn from the biological processes in the body that give rise to the craving for a particular issue. Examples of these drives include hunger, thirst and the need for sex. Upon satisfying the drive, the strength of the motivational factor is reduced but if the need is not met, then the urge continues to persist. Marcello on the other hand has his source of motivation from the inner self and the general awareness of himself. This source explains the difference in the behaviour that different individuals posses.
