Life in Sri Lanka: The 25 Year War With the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam

During the twenty five year span of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, there were numerous instances when the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam were pushed in a position where the military forces of the government had almost complete conquest over them. Yet, from the end that the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam came to, it is apparent that it was not the inexhaustible support and funding that the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam had access to that sustained them through the twenty five years of battle with the government, but the leadership that was leading it into battle (Parkman & Peeling, 2007). A few weeks from today, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam agreed to put down their arms and concede their defeat. The government claimed that the leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam had been killed (Welt Online, 2009). This paper shall elaborate upon the war that plagued Sri Lanka for twenty five years.
