… aggressive approach; Method II is a complacent attitude. Across the board, Gordon advocates Method III being assertive. Identifying problem-ownership is another important consideration. Technically, throughout the book, Gordon uses a rectangle to differentiate problems addressed in different chapters: e.g., a line in the rectangle would indicate a teachers level of acceptance of a students behavior. Teachers have problems; so do students: Incorrect transference of problems from students to teachers and vice versa leads to breakdown in communication. Another approach that teachers could use, according to T.E.T., is the I (first person)-message factor. Gordon advises that a teacher who addresses a problem from their own perspective will more likely get better results. The alternative, You-message factor results in students assuming that they are being blamed. Their natural reaction is to become defensive.

My Journey to Graduate School: Why I Strive to Teach Deaf Children and Youth

My Journey to Graduate School: Why I Strive to Teach Deaf Children and Youth

The Nature Of Mathematics Essay

The Nature Of Mathematics Essay

The educational or pedagogical effects of the stress and emphasis given on subject experience have always been shown in educational practices. The influential theories of both social and radical constructivism have focused on subjectivity and have denied the objectivity of the mathematics subject as one body of knowledge. Radical constructivism has always emphasized on knowledge with experience while social constructivism has always confused origin with validity. This paper argues that although fallible, mathematics in nature is a practice that generates objective and intentional problem solving situations independent of social acceptance or individual cognition. Educators face many challenges in today’s educational environments. Educators are first liners with pupils. Teachers are in a delicate position to teach a structured curriculum with the latitude of an effective inclusive style. This document will examine and investigate the teachings of Algebra with an emphasis on cognitive constructivism.
